Emilio Morandi: Mail artista, performer, pittore, artista multimediale.
Emilio Morandi
was born in Ponte Nossa, Bergamo, Italy, in 1940. He is a painter and performer, video- and
installation artist. His performances form a mixture of gestures, text and
sound. He has been active in the Mail Art network since 1979. In 1986 he exhibited
the project “Berliner auf Umwegen” (Berliner on detours) at his Artestudio. In
1992 he curated the Ponte Nossa part of the Decentralized Networker Congress.
In 2003 he organised the Brain Academy Apartment project at the 50th Biennal in
Venice. He
participated in various international Mail Art shows and festivals in Germany, The Netherlands, Poland, Hungary,
Canada, Japan, France
and Italy.
